Last week, the children in class 3 at St Gilbert of Sempringham Church of England Primary School at Pointon, participated in an enterprise scheme in order to raise money for Children in Need.
At the beginning of the week they were given a budget and tasked with making and selling biscuits for Children in Need. The children had to decide what biscuits they were going to make and then sell them to make a profit.
Independently, the children made, marketed and sold the biscuits on the Friday, they set up the hall as a market place and raised over £60 for the appeal.
Everyone had a great time, especially when it came to sampling their own product.
In addition all the children at the school and St Gilbert’s Kindergarten made a donation to attend dressed in either pyjamas or something spotty for the day. In total they raised £139 for this year’s Children in Need Appeal.
