Year 3 have been lucky enough to enjoy a fabulous two days of Indian experiences to commence their Hinduism topic.

The children learnt about the festival of Diwali and Hindu beliefs through exciting and interactive activities including traditional Indian dance, creating Rangoli patterns and interactive story workshops.

They were also challenged to address the stereotypes of Indian life with our guest Sunita.

Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed all their workshops and looked truly amazing in their Indian costumes learning traditional Indian dance moves.

All the children learnt an incredible amount about their R.E focus this term
and were inspired to discover more about Hindu beliefs and life in other cultures in the world.

We celebrated our successes with our handmade Diva lamps and home-grown Indian cuisine in our Diwali party.
