The Friends of Bourne Westfield Primary Academy held their annual Summer Fair on Saturday last week.
The weather held and it turned out to be a lovely afternoon with visitors pouring through the gates.
A flypast by a Hurricane and Spitfire started the afternoon and musical entertainment was provided throughout courtesy of the school’s rock band, jazz band and choirs.
Stalls, refreshments and activities galore were a hit with children and parents alike. At 2 o’clock to the sounds of ’Let it Go’, Princess Elsa appeared and delighted audiences as the surprise guest.
The Year 6 ‘Enterprise Challenge Group’ made a massive 360% profit from their starting point.
Fair co-ordinator and chairman of Friends of Westfield Karen Benson commented: “The Fair went extremely well and to date £3,310 has been raised which will provide additional resources for children at the school.
“Parents, staff, children and indeed the local community are always very supportive of this event and for that we are extremely grateful.
“This is very much a joint venture and thanks must also go to the whole of our PTA who worked amazingly hard to ensure the event was so successful, not forgetting local companies who kindly supported us.”
