Two women from Bourne have recently set up a new business which provides unique pieces of art and custom furniture to suit individual tastes.
Beverley Shilling and Rose Saunders own ‘Encore’ - a local business which deals in customised ‘shabby chic’ furniture and more.
Originally launched by Beverley just before Christmas, Rose came on board two months ago to lend a helping hand - expanding the showroom at Cherryholt Garden Centre, Bourne.
“The showroom is a lot bigger,” said Beverley. “We have a lot more furniture for customers to browse as they wish, along with paintings and a nice selection of vintage clothing, including bags, shoes and jewellery.”
“We offer a personalised service for our customers, from upholstery to painting. Everything we do is unique, so no piece is ever the same.”
Rose does all the upholstery and craft work, whilst Beverley does all the painting.
“We try to keep our prices a low as possible,” said Beverley. “It’s an affordable service and we’re always open to negotiations.”
The showroom, located at the garden centre, is open every day of the week. The shop is unmanned but you can arrange an appointment with Beverley or Rose by just giving them a quick call.
