An MP heard the concerns of village residents at a public meeting on proposals to close a level crossing and replace it with a road bridge.
Stamford and Bourne MP Nick Boles chaired the meeting at Tallington Village Hall on Friday last week.
Network Rail is carrying out a study on the feasibility of closing the level crossing on the A1175, and Mr Boles was keen to speak to residents about the study and hear their concerns.
Mr Boles believes neither Network Rail nor Lincolnshire County Council have the money to fund a road bridge.
After the meeting, he said: “I didn’t get a hostile reception. Some people took a different view but there was a friendly feel to the discussion.
“When the study is complete I will ask Network Rail to show me it and I will come back and report to the community.”
