Village residents have been invited to find out the latest on plans to close a level crossing at a parish council meeting.
A Network Rail representative will give an update on Tallington level crossing at Tallington village hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday.
The company wants to close the level crossing on the A1175 and has proposed two alternative diversion schemes. One features a bridge on the site of the existing crossing, while the other involves a bridge to the south of the barriers and a new road into the village. The second option would result in the demolition of several homes.
The most recent proposals were revealed to the public in June and Tallington Parish Council has asked Network Rail to update residents on the responses so far.
Council chairman Geoff Mayling has invited anyone interested in the plans to attend Tuesday’s meeting, find out more and ask questions.
Network Rail’s full proposals can be found at the Network Rail website.
