Shots snap up Payne
Aldershot have signed striker Stefan Payne until the end of the season after he left npower League Two rivals Gillingham.
The Lambeth-born 20-year-old began his career with Croydon before a prolific spell at fellow non-league outfit Sutton earned him a move to Barclays Premier League Fulham.
However, after just a year with the Cottagers Payne dropped back down the leagues to join the Gills in the summer of 2010.
Payne struggled to make an impact at Priestfield, with the majority of his 37 appearance coming as a substitute while he also spent time on loan at Braintree last season before his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
