A new reading scheme will help children aged up to five to explore reading and discover what the library has to offer.

The brand new pilot scheme ‘Bear’s Reading Adventures’ was launched at Lincoln on Wednesday and will also run at Stamford as part of a trial
scheme.

Each child will receive their own special sticker book, following Bookstart Bear on his reading adventure, travelling to places including the park, supermarket and library. But, 10 objects are missing, which children have to find.

Each time children visit the library, they will be rewarded with a sticker of one missing object, helping Bookstart Bear on his way to the next adventure.
