People got the chance to have their say on plans to build 190 homes on the edge of a village.
Bourne-based Larkfleet Homes held a public exhibition on its proposals to develop land off Lawrence Road, Wittering, on Tuesday,
People packed into Wittering Bowls Club to see the plans and ask questions of Larkfleet staff.
Associated planning director Mark Mann said: “We were pleased to see that so many people were able to attend the public exhibition.
“The proposals for Wittering are still at the draft illustrative stage. We’ll be looking carefully at the comments we received before submitting our planning application. The comments will also be collated and included in a report and submitted as part of the application.
“We are keen to consult with local people on all of our proposals and take on board comments received, and where possible take these into consideration as part of the development.”
The site was allocated for development by Peterborough City Council in April 2012. The council’s site allocations development plan document was widely consulted upon , dating back to 2008.
Larkfleet expects to submit a planning application before Christmas. Peterborough City Council will then hold a statutory consultation period when people can comment.
If plans are approved, construction could begin during spring 2015.
