Shoppers will be able to get their Christmas shopping off to a fantastic start with a late-night event in Stamford tonight (Thursday).
Shops in St Mary’s Street and St Mary’s Hill have teamed up for extra late night shopping events. The first takes place tonight, when more than 40 shops on the two streets and the nearby lanes will stay open until 8pm.
From 5pm to 8pm stores will be offering a selection of Christmas gifts with many providing tasty treats and tipples as well.
Jenny Fitzpatrick, owner of The Fine Food Store, said: “We are so fortunate to have so many unique, independent shops in Stamford. We are aiming to showcase this during our late night event.”
Stores will also be entering their customers into a raffle on both nights to win a hamper of gifts from the streets’ retailers. Tickets will be drawn at 8pm in Paradise Found on St Mary’s Street.
The second event will take place on Thursday, December 12.
