Sheltered housing complex approved for Meadow Close complex

A SHELTERED housing complex will be extended and refurbished.

South Kesteven District Council approved its own plans to build a two-storey extension to block 1 to 22 of the Meadow Close complex in Bourne and turn six existing bedsits into four self-contained apartments.

The council will install washing facilities in each apartment to remove the need for communal bathrooms.

According to the plans the new apartments will encourage independence and improve residents’ quality of life.
