School pupils will welcome a special guest on Tuesday.
Beth Tweddle, who won an Olympic bronze medal at London 2012 and is a triple World Champion, a six-time European Champion, a Commonwealth Champion and consecutive seven-times National Champion, will be the guest of honour at Bourne Grammar School’s Sports Presentation Evening.
The evening is aimed at celebrating the sporting success of many students during the course of the year with awards across a range of sports including netball, hockey, basketball, football, girls’ football, cross-country, swimming, rowing, tennis, athletics, cricket and rugby.
Special Curriculum Awards will also be presented, based on performance in PE lessons across the year.
Headteacher Jonathan Maddox said: “This is the first time that an Olympic medallist has officiated at our sports presentation evening. I have no doubt that our students will be excited and inspired to see and hear from Beth.”
