Massive rise in passengers for on-demand bus service

MORE people than ever before are using an on-demand bus service.

Lincolnshire County Council, which runs the CallConnect service in partnership with Rutland County Council, Peterborough City Council and Northamptonshire County Council, has seen a 63 per cent growth in the number of people using the service.

The number of calls has increased from 19,000 in 2010 to more than 31,000 in 2011.
