Comments made on skatepark land in Bourne

MORE responses to a skatepark questionnaire have been received.

The Dimension Skatepark Committee, which has been offered some land for a skatepark in Bourne and needs people to come forward to reform the committee, gave the community a chance to put their views forward.

The committee launched a questionnaire in November to find out what interest there is and have received about 15 replies since then.

There are just three active members left on the committee, including Bourne Town Council clerk Nelly Jacobs.

She said: “We realise that we shall have to start some of the things from scratch like identifying the need through a survey with the youth, design of skatepark to tie in with the proposed new location and the current youth.

“But we are hopeful that the project will move forward.”
