Brandy boost for Rotary Club of Bourne

A PUB has donated £77 to a club after holding a prize draw to win of a large bottle of brandy.

John Duffy and Andy Stubley, who own the Firkin Ale, in North Street, Bourne, organised the fundraising event in aid of the Rotary Club of Bourne.

Customer Jenny Samples was the winner, and the money raised will go towards the club’s youth programme, which supports those involved with the youth speaks and young musician contests which are run each year.

Rotarian John Lyon, of West Road, Bourne, said it was a lovely gesture.

He added: “The proceeds will greatly assist in the ongoing expenses of the clubs’ youth opportunities programme.”
