Bourne children’s group holding clothes sale and dance

A CHILDREN’S group is hosting a clothes sale and a Valentines dance to raise funds as it hopes create its own centre and bids to become a registered charity.

Galaxy of Stars is holding the events on February 11 at the Darby and Joan Hall, in Bourne.

The group run sessions in Bourne supporting children with additional needs and offer advice and understanding to their families.

Group founder Annie Elliott said: “The clothes sale is going to be really big but we’re still looking for people who want to sell their unwanted items.

“And at the Valentines dance there’ll be a DJ playing fab music and everyone is welcome.”

The sale runs from 10am to 1pm. People can sell their clothes by making an advance donation of £5 and profits that are made from the sale of each item will go back to the owner. The dance runs from 7.30pm to 11.30pm and tickets are £5. The group needs to raise £5,000 in a year to become a registered charity. To sell clothes or for tickets to the dance, call Annie on 07712 511923.
