More than 100 community-spirited teenagers celebrated graduating from the National Citizen Service autumn programme at a glittering graduation
There were cheers of congratulation and applause as scores of young people, including pupils from Bourne and Stamford, took part in the ceremony.
National Citizen Service is a scheme to get young people doing outdoor activities, developing new skills, learning new things, and helping their local community while making new friends.
The graduates were called up to accept their graduation certificate, all of which had been signed by the Prime Minister David Cameron.
As part of the programme each young person spent at least 12 hours of their time taking part in a community action project.
The pupils made a noticeable difference by getting stuck into improving allotments, brightening-up residential home gardens, decorating a theatre and organising fundraising events for charities.
