Pupils from a Bourne school have been showing off their art skills as part of a world-wide celebration of drawing.

Last month pupils from Bourne Academy painted a series of large pictures which depicted their school’s houses as part of art festival The Big Draw.

Bourne Academy participates in The Big Draw every year. Pupils of all ages from each of the six houses volunteered their time to produce the pieces of art.

Local artist Fenella Beachamp chose Hereward as the winning house, with Quinnell and Galileo the runners up.

Every year hundreds of thousands of people join in Big Draw events run by partners in national and regional museums and galleries, schools, community centres, libraries, art clubs and village halls.
