Basketball players needed at new club in Bourne

MORE people are needed to join a new basketball club in Bourne.

Boys, girls, men and women are invited to play at the sessions at Bourne Leisure Centre, in Queens Road, on Thursdays.

The first session with Bourne Basketball Club took place last week, but Lucy Willets, who is the basketball development officer at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, said just three people attended.

She said: “There’s definitely space for more people in the local area to attend, so I would encourage everyone to come along and have a go.

The sessions will run every Thursday for another four weeks. The club is open to players aged 14 and above of all abilities.

The sessions cost £2. For more information call 01522 585580.
