Letter: Thanks for a great night - 05/11/09

THROUGH your paper I would like to thank Eve Taylor for funding everybody who helped to organise the 1930s Tea Dance which was held recently.

My friends and I thought the programme was fantastic, Philipa Gale, who did a sing-a-long of songs from the past.

John Wass played a song on his keyboard which I hadn't heard for years called O Johnny O.

A super 1930s tea of Spam and corned beef sandwiches was served along with tea and coffee.

There was tap dancing by Bourne to Tap dancers and raffle prizes were given by local shops.

It was a shame more people did not attend because it was a fantastic afternoon.
