To readers of The Local, thank you for your continued support.

My sincere thanks go to Local staff, Exeter Street Veterinary Centre, Bourne Co-op, Petorama and Spice of Life and Pet and Animal Country Store, for collection boxes of food and money, and to Greetings, the card shop in Bourne, for the wonderful event they gave us last year and their continued  support.

Thank you all so much for the generous donations of money and food given to us over the Christmas period, it is all used wisely to help the animals in need.

We always remember the creatures worldwide, who suffer, as humans do, in the terrible and sad crises that happen.

We wish we could stop the suffering, but that cannot be, it is hard sometimes to accept that we can only do our very best in our own locality.
