I'd rather have my cash back

IS 39p worth paying for safer streets?

Well, I am sure the firm are not suggesting that South Kesteven District Council pay them just 39p a day, but rather that they mean 39p per household in Bourne, about 3,400 per patrol, or even 39p per person in Bourne, about 10,000 per patrol.

Things haven't got that bad since I moved out of town have they? If there's that kind of money going spare in the budget, I think I'd rather have my 142.44 back please.
