Bourne’s Willoughby School has laid down the rules for discipline and harmony in the classroom.

The specialist school has drawn up class charters agreed by staff and school council members.

The class charters are part of Willoughby School Council’s work, enabling every child to have their view and opinion on a range of topics about the school

Headteacher James Husbands (pictured with pupils and teaching assistants Jenny Davis and Sharon Ward) said: “The charters are used as a class-based code of conduct and common themes across all of them are the importance of sharing, kindness to others and the need for quiet in and around the school.

“They were part of our school council’s work, enabling every child to have their view and opinion on a range of topics about the school.

“The next topic for our will be about dinners, lunchtime and break time arrangements.”
