Consultation to end on future of Bourne day care service
A CONSULTATION into the future of a day care service is nearing an end.
Lincolnshire County Council wants to move all its adult social care users onto the personal budget scheme, which lets them decide how to spend their publicly-funded care grant.
The council also wants to stop its in-house services in favour of private and charitable providers. It has proposed to close the Stamford and Bourne Learning Disability Services, which is based in Abbey Road, Bourne.
The consultation has been running since October and will close on Monday. More than 500 replies from across the county have so far been received.
