Teams from across Lincolnshire were given awards across nine categories. Guest speaker health commentator Roy Lilley opened proceedings with an engaging speech before compere BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Melvyn Prior hosted the
awards.

East Midlands Newspapers Ltd, which includes The Local and the Rutland and Stamford Mercury, acted as media sponsors for the awards.

LCHS chief executive Andrew Morgan said: “The event was a great success with a fantastic turn out.

“It was wonderful to be able to spotlight our staff who always go above and beyond to support patients and their families on a daily basis.”

Nine awards were handed out on the day. Team of The Year was won by The South West Cardiac Rehab Team, based in Bourne.

The team faced a set of new challenges and these were met with enthusiasm and a desire to achieve.

Through carrying out a regular programme of patient satisfaction questionnaires they also had a good idea of what issues patients had highlighted as concerns.

This empowered the team to implement changes improving patient experiences and outcomes.

Paula Groves spoke on behalf of the team and said: “We are truly proud to have been nominated and jubilant after winning. As a team we all work really hard to provide gold standard care to our patients and try to add that personal touch. The award is held pride of place in our office as a reminder that the work we do is recognised.”
