Firms encouraged to sign up for health and win team prize

Businesses could win a trip to Center Parks for their employees by encouraging them to become more active.

Lincolnshire Sport has launched a country-wide Workplace Challenge, where employees can sign up to try new sports, lead a more active lifestyle and battle it out to win points for their company.

The business that finishes top of the leader board will be crowned overall winner of the Active8 package - a day out for up to 20 people at the outdoor activity resort at Sherwood Forest - courtesy of Center Parcs Conference and Events.

The winning business can choose from a range of options which can include a team building activity, a multi-activity day or a two hour spa sessions for 20 people.

Amy Story, physical activity project officer at Lincolnshire Sport said: “We are encouraging businesses of all shapes and sizes to sign up to the Workplace Challenge, along with their employees.

“Not only does it help to get people active in the workplace, it creates a great sense of team work and camaraderie.

“It’s not just about winning and losing. It’s about getting everyone more active.”

Dozens of other prizes will also be awarded to winners and those who opt for a healthier lifestyle, including cinema tickets, beauty hampers, cycle packs, and two Halfords bikes.
