Pupils and staff from a local school are celebrating after receiving a donation of £4,013 from their local Co-operative store.
Willoughby School on South Road, Bourne, has been awarded the money by the ACCF (Anglia Co-operative Community Fund).
Steve Diamond, Ambient Team Leader at the food store in Burghley Centre, said: “Willoughby School is an all age special school for pupils with a wide range of additional needs.
“At the start of the year we had the honour of visiting the school and seeing for ourselves the great work carried out by everyone involved.
“The visit inspired us to try to help the pupils as much as possible and so we are absolutely delighted to have been able to raise over £4000 for this very worthwhile local cause.
“Application forms for Central England Co-operative’s Community Dividend scheme are available in stores or on the website at www.centralengland.coop and I would encourage any member who knows of a local good cause in need of money to consider the scheme.”
