Bourne Abbey Church of England Primary Academy are exceptionally proud to announce that Year 6 pupil Harry Moyle successfully reached the National semi-finals of the Junior Language Competition 2014.

Along with nine other Year 5 and 6 pupils, Harry completed an initial challenge learning Italian and, after achieving an unrivalled high score, he was invited to compete in the semi-finals in Cambridge. Not wanting to make it too easy, Harry was asked to learn the notoriously tricky language of Japanese in preparation for a live competition against other semi-finalists.

Harry performed outstandingly and after a very tense contest had earned himself a superb 5th place.

Harry really enjoyed developing his language skills and competing and should be immensely proud of his achievements. We look forward to entering our current Year 5 and 6 pupils this Easter for the 2015 Junior Language Competition.
