Pupils celebrate OFSTED report
Staff and pupils at a primary school are celebrating this week after receiving a glowing Ofsted report.
Ingoldsby Primary School was rated as good with outstanding elements during an inspection in November by Ian Jones.
The school was praised for its good teaching standards and strong family philosophy but has been told to improve its quality of marking and to help pupils better understand how well they are doing.
Headteacher Brian Wooldridge is delighted with the outcome of the report and has thanked his staff and pupils.
Mr Wooldridge said: "I am very proud of the efforts of all pupils, the dedication and professionalism of the whole staff and the excellent support we receive from parents and governors.
"Our pupils clearly love coming to Ingoldsby Primary School where in a safe, caring and supportive environment they continue to thrive.
"Well done everyone."
The report praised the school for its strong family philosophy which contributed to the outstanding personal development and well-being of the pupils.
It also highlighted that pupils respond well to teachers' high expectations and good teaching along with the youngsters' outstanding behaviour and praising Mr Wooldridge's leadership.
Mr Wooldridge says that the staff have already had meetings on how to meet Ofsted's improvement targets.
The report states: "Ingoldsby is a school that clearly cherished its pupils. Their excellent attendance reflects considerable enjoyment of school life."
Chairman of the governors Hazel Gunby said that staff and pupils had worked extremely hard to maintain the school's high standards.
