A VILLAGE primary school has hosted a maths enterprise day.

The event, run by Joan Beale from education company JB-Education, took place at Billingborough Primary School for children in Years 5 and 6 with a good grasp of mathematics on Thursday last week.

The day was also attended by pupils from other schools in the nearby area.

During the day children enjoyed the challenges of building a range of three-dimensional shapes and learning about their associated language and mathematics.

Joan was pleased with how it went and said: “They worked at a very high level - well above that expected for their age.

“The day was also about team work and learning to work with new people, so children worked in mixed school groups for most of the day.”
