Ofsted has judged an early years provision and children’s club as outstanding following a no-notice inspection.
The Kindergarten and Kids Club at Bourne Abbey Primary Academy gained the top ranking at its inspection on February 7.
Headteacher Cherry Edwards said: “We are exceptionally proud of our early years and extended school provision and are delighted that Ofsted have once again recognised the vital role it plays in helping children to develop into secure, happy, confident and successful learners.”
The report said children made rapid progress because of the highly skilled and knowledgable staff. The children’s safety and the staff’s partnership with parents was also praised.
Mrs Edwards said: “It is particularly rewarding to have been recognised as outstanding under the new Ofsted framework and we understand that Bourne Abbey’s is the first early years provision in Lincolnshire to be judged to be so.”
