GSCE results improving in Lincolnshire schools
LINCOLNSHIRE schools improved their GCSE results last year.
League tables published yesterday show 62.2 per cent of pupils achieved the pass rate of five A* to C grades, including English and maths. This is an increase of three per cent on the previous year.
The figure is now four per cent above the national average.
As a result Lincolnshire is now ranked 32nd out of 152 local authorities nationwide.
At post-16 level, 92.1 per cent of pupils achieved two or more A-level passes, which is also above the national average.
