Pupils at Bourne Westfield Primary Academy take part in an assembly for the NSPCC

Children at Bourne Westfield have recently participated in a keep fit ‘Workout Day’ to raise money for the NSPCC.

School’s organiser Val Foottit visited during assembly time on Tuesday and was absolutely delighted to report that children at the school had raised an astonishing £7490.22!

Val has been involved with the school for a number of years and this was her final visit prior to retirement.

She commented: “Bourne Westfield have always been fantastic supporters of the NSPCC and since I started the school has raised an amazing £17,189 for us. This year surpassed all my expectations and I am very impressed by the fabulous work and passion for the cause shown by both staff and children – well done!”

Martin Kyle, Assistant Headteacher, commented: “We are a real family here at Westfield and it is amazing to see what our children achieve when we work together as a team!”
