Friday 23rd May saw twenty children from year 4 at Bourne Abbey Primary C of E Academy take part in the annual Bourne and Deeping Primary School Tennis Tournament.

The event was organised by Bourne Abbey Academy and Bourne and Deeping Tennis Club.

The children played in teams of 4, with 2 boys and 2 girls in each team. They played mini games of tennis with the scores accumulating to form an overall team score. The children settled quickly into their matches and were soon playing some exciting and very close games of
tennis.

Eighteen teams from five local primary schools took part in the tournament with teams playing in small leagues and then the winners from each progressing onto the semi finals. The Bourne Abbey teams played some fantastic tennis with both the A and C teams playing very strongly and finishing in 2nd place within their leagues.
