The last two weeks has seen Bourne Westfield the host of both football and netball tournaments.

The football tournament brought a fantastic turnout with eight teams contesting a very competitive and closely fought competition. Teams competed in two leagues of four with the top team in each league playing each other in the final to find the overall winners. Bourne Westfield, having won their last tournament, had high hopes of reaching the final but alas this was not to be and they achieved a very creditable 3rd place following a fiercely fought playoff. Edenham Primary School, who were well-organised and competitive throughout were the well-deserved winners.

The netball tournament followed with 8 teams involved. For some of the participants it was their first experience of playing in a tournament but all had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon which marked a lovely end to the spring term. Bourne Westfield played some good flowing netball but were narrowly beaten into 3rd place by Bourne Abbey Primary Academy. We are looking ahead to the 29th April when we compete in the volleyball county finals.
