Baston Primary School will be running holiday clubs over the summer following on from the success of its mums and tots sports club, pictured.

At the sports club, which runs on a Wednesday between 2pm and 3pm in Baston School Hall, the children have fun with hoops, beanbags and various different balls. It’s a free activity for children between 2 and 5.

Run by a professional instructor, the club gives pre-school children a great opportunity to develop their motor skills, co-ordination and balance before starting school, as well as giving mums an opportunity to socialise and meet new people. Of course, we welcome dads, and grandparents and carers. There is no need to book, just come along. It runs until the end of term and will start again in September.

This summer there will be holiday clubs over three separate weeks, starting on August 4. The clubs are open to children from five years to 11 years and are aimed at improving children’s sporting ability through a range of different sports including tennis, cricket, athletics, rounders, hockey, football and tag rugby at a cost of £10 per day.

These are open to any child from the local area, not just those who attend Baston School. Contact the school on 01778 560430 for a registration form.
