Since starting coaching SNAG golf to Year 4 pupils last September, discussion about the brightly coloured golf trousers worn by Darren Game, has become as popular a topic as talking about the SNAG golf itself.
With this in mind Darren approached Loudmouth Golf about the possibility of running a competition to pick his next pair of trousers. Although designing a pair was not feasible, Tracey Sanderson of Loudmouth kindly agreed to sponsor a competition in which the pupils were given a choice of 6 designs. The design receiving the most votes became Darren’s next pair of trousers to wear in the Year 4 golf lessons.
One lucky pupil who had voted for the winning paintball design had his name drawn from a hat and received his very own golfing cap! Flynn, seen here receiving his prize with deputy headteacher Kate Atkinson said “Golf is great fun and when we play SNAG golf I can hit the target from amazing distances. Darren’s trousers really brighten up the lessons and I am looking forward to wearing my hat.”
Darren commented “Wearing the trousers initially was just a bit of fun as Loudmouth trousers are bright and colourful, just like the SNAG golf equipment. However it soon became apparent that they were a huge part of SNAG golf and the competition idea arose. This was confirmed with the excitement this competition generated within the Year 4 classes. My thanks to Tracy at Loudmouth Golf for agreeing to co-sponsor the competition and to Bourne Westfield for allowing it to run.”
