A student whose artwork was short-listed in a national competition has missed out on the prize.

Bourne Grammar School pupil Ben Goldsworthy entered a competition to design a poster for the 160th Boat Race between Oxford University and Cambridge University.

His design was one of eight to be short-listed by judges to face a public vote which closed last week. The winner from Merseyside won £1,000 and will have his design made into the official race posters and programme cover.
