These are the results from recent magistrates’ courts around the area. We do not carry minor speeding offences.

Loughborough Magistrate’s Court, November 19

Paul Lomas, 32, of Keats Grove, Stamford, admitted possessing cocaine, and possessing cannabis with an intent to supply, in Great Casterton on October 11. He pleaded not guilty to a separate charge of possessing a knife at the same time. The charge was discontinued. Lomas was fined £450, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £45.

Mary Merry, 59, of Main Street, Greetham, admitted driving without due care and attention at Oakham level crossing on August 30. She was fined £85, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20. She also had three points put on her licence.

Grantham Magistrate’s Court, November 26

Benjamin Freeman, 40, of Meadowsweet, Stamford, admitted driving while using a mobile phone in North Street, Stamford, on April 25. He was fined £135, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20, and had three points put on his licence.

Grantham Magistrate’s Court, December 1

David Clark, 36, of West Road, Haconby, admitted drink driving in Ryhall Road, Stamford, on November 15. He gave a reading of 40 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was disqualified from driving for a year, fined £350, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £35.

Darius Jocas, 42, of Abbey Road, Bourne, admitted drink driving in Abbey Road on November 15. He gave a reading of 68 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £300, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £30.

Steven Mohammed, 23, of Colster Way, Colsterworth, admitted possessing cannabis in Bourne Road, Corby Glen, on September 26. He was fined £75, ordered to pay costs of £40 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Steven Prentice, 19, of Aykroft, Bourne, admitted drink driving in Casterton Road, Stamford, on November 15. He gave a reading of 71 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. 
He was disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £210, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £21.

Grantham Magistrate’s Court, December 3

Shaun Moody, 37, of Abel Close, Market Deeping, admitted stealing groceries worth £285.29 from the Market Deeping Co-operative store on April 8. 
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay costs of £250 and a victim surcharge of £15.

Grantham Magistrate’s Court, December 8

Curtis Plant, 19, of Vine Street, Billingborough, admitted three counts of stealing alcohol from Grantham shops on November 3 and 11. 
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay compensation of £28.

Steven Diver, 51, of Rosehip Road, Morton, admitted harassing a man and a woman in Morton between January 1, 2010, and August 17, 2014. He was given a four-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, placed under a restraining order preventing him from contacting his victims or entering several homes, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £80.

Darren Short, 47, of Springbank Drive, Bourne, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Grantham on October 30. 
He was placed under supervision, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £40.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, December 15

Humphrey Jamieson, 29, of High Street, Market Deeping, admitted drink driving in King Street, West Deeping, on October 18. He gave a reading of 100 milligrammes of alcohol in 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrammes. 
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £450, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £45.

Grantham Magistrates Court, December 17

Lauren Arthur, 23, of West Street, Bourne, was found guilty of driving allowing a man to drive without insurance on the A15 in Thurlby on December 29, 2013. She was fined £165, ordered to pay costs of £60 and a victim surcharge of £20. She had six points put on her licence.

James Mason, 29, of West Street, Bourne, was found guilty of driving without insurance and otherwise in accordance with a licence on the A15 in Thurlby on December 29, 2013. He was fined £165, ordered to pay costs of £60 and a victim surcharge of £20. He was also disqualified from driving for six months.

Justin Davies, 44, of Market Place, Market Deeping, admitted assaulting a woman on August 27. 
He was given a 24-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.

Lee Conneely, 26, of Caledonian Road, Stamford, admitted breaching the peace in Stamford on September 7. He was bound over in the sum of £500 for nine months to keep the peace and ordered not to get drunk in a public place and act in a disorderly manner in Stamford.

Peter Sumner, 59, of Village Street, Greatford, admitted drink driving in Church Street, Carlby, on October 31. He gave a reading of 156 milligrammes of alcohol in 100ml of urine. The legal limit is 107 milligrammes. 
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £110, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Matthew Thorpe, 30, of Stephenson Close, Colsterworth, admitted being in charge of a mechanically propelled vehicle while unfit to drive through drink in Bulby Road, Irnham, on December 7. He also admitted drink driving in High Street, Swinstead, on December 17. He gave a reading of 89 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 28 months, fined £220, ordered to pay costs of £85 and costs of £20.

Stephen Johnston, 53, of Elizabeth Road, Stamford, admitted assaulting a woman on November 16. He was ordered to carry out unpaid work for 80 hours within the next 12 months, pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £60.

Simon Phelps, 45, of Water Street, Stamford, admitted driving without insurance and otherwise in accordance with a licence in Conduit Road, Stamford, on November 16. He had six points put on his licence, fined £110, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Robi Watson, 22, of Northumberland Avenue, Stamford, admitting harassing a woman by making repeated phonecalls while under a non-molestation order. He was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months, placed under a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim, going to her residence or approaching her, and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £60.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, December 29

Fraser Denholm, 24, of Printers Yard, Uppingham, admitted drink driving in St Peter’s Street, Stamford, on December 12. He gave a reading of 79 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He was disqualified from driving for three years, fined £235, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £23.

Curtis Plant, 18, of Vine Street, Billingborough, admitted obstructing a PC in the execution of his duty in New Beacon Road, Grantham, on December 12. He was given an 18-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £15.

Adam Manning-Coe, 23, of Wordsworth Grove, Bourne, admitted assaulting two men in Abbey Road, Bourne, on December 13. He was fined £320, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, January 5

Kyle Bell, 20, of Burghley Close, Stamford, admitted drink driving in Casterton Road, Stamford, on December 13. He gave a reading of 60 microgrammes in 100ml of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months, fined £240, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £24.

Ivana Childe-Freeman, of New Cross Road, Stamford, admitted using threatening words of behaviour in Grantham on December 15. She was fined £75, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Darren Rowthorn, 48, of School Lane, Baston, was found guilty of assaulting a woman on August 12. He was placed under supervision, ordered to pay costs of £500 and a victim surcharge of £60.
