Stamford Kiwanis are counting down to their family fun day which will be held next month at Burghley Park.

The day on Sunday, August 9, from 10am to 4pm, will include a range of free workshops and attractions for the whole family to enjoy.

The exciting rock climbing wall will provide a realistic climbing experience; with colour coded climbing routes and plenty of foot and hand holds. It is fun for both the novice and the experienced climber. Full safety equipment is provided.

Try the archery workshop with fully qualified trainers and a range of real bows to suit all ages or learn magic skills and be mystified by the best magicians. Learn circus skills, juggle, spin plates and enjoy all the fun of the fair.

Have a make-over with face painting, design and make your own badge, play an instrument in the music workshops, enter the poetry and painting workshops, act in the children’s theatre, listen to story-telling, take part in children’s games and dance workshops.

As well as all of this, there will be live on-stage entertainment with appearances and dance workshops from performers, including Fully Loaded and Nu Flow Dance. Got to Dance winners Chris and Wes are hosting workshops and meet and greet sessions.

Tony Gowers, heading up the event team, said: “Kiwanis are very experienced at putting on events and this year’s Fun Day has more and more activities, workshops and entertainment than ever.

“With the support of Burghley House we can utilise a huge area to run the event with ample free parking and easy access to all areas. We hope everyone who comes will have a really fun day out.”
