Budget supermarket chain Lidl has revealed plans to build a store in Bourne.
The company announced today (Tuesday) that it wanted to open next to the new McDonald’s and Suger Mill pub, off the A15 and Raymond Mays Way roundabout.
A Lidl spokesman said: “We’re extremely excited about the prospect of bringing one of our stores to Bourne and serving our fresh, quality produce to the local community. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all the support that we have received so far, and look forward to answering any questions at the consultation event in January.”
A public consultation on the plans will be held at Bourne Corn Exchange on January 8 from midday to 5.30pm.
Temple Garth, who hope to develop the site has also set up an online feedback form at gopetition.com.
