Fuel stations hopeful over supplies
JET fuel stations are hopeful that they will not run out of fuel supplies despite the news that tanker drivers have extended their strike action.
It was announced today that the strike by drivers from Wincanton, who supply the petrol station franchise, is set to run until February 16, but local garages remain optimistic that they will not run out before their next expected delivery on Thursday.
Tallington Service Station, on the A16, has restricted lorry drivers to 100 litres.
Sycamore garage, in Uppingham, have no restrictions but had previously rationed customers to a £40 limit.
Adams and Sons, on the A47 in Morcott, have received supplies from alternative sources and currently have no restrictions.
More than 120 tanker drivers have extended their strike action over pay and conditions after failing to reach an agreement at a meeting yesterday.
