Stamford designer Sophie Allport has opened her first high street shop in the historic Victoria Quarter in Leeds.
Sophie has made a name for herself producing a range of fine bone china, textiles and stationery, and runs her family business with her accountancy-trained brother Jem.
Her new shop is situated next to Paul Smith and Harvey Nichols, in a Grade II listed building, in the shopping quarter in Leeds which is home to more than 70 leading fashion and lifestyle brands such as Louis Vuitton, Vivienne Westwood and Harvey Nichols.
Although her business is based in Langtoft, Sophie knows Leeds well, having gained a first class honours degree in graphic design at Leeds University in 1995.
She said: “I love the fact I’ve come back to my university city to open my first shop.”
