The Cedars care home in Bourne, presented a cheque for £264 to St Barnabas Hospice on Monday.

Residents at Cedars held a summer fete at the beginning of August. They set up book stalls, games, tombola and raffles.

Helen Brewster, matron at The Cedars, said: “We like to support charities and do a lot throughout the year.

“The residents choose the charity. In the past we have supported different cancer charities and jeans for genes.

“The summer fete was a great success and we had a lot of support from the Bourne community.”

Ruth O’Melia from St Barnabas Hospice visited the care home this week. She thanked them for the donations.

All the money raised will go towards helping people with life threatening illnesses.
