JUDGING takes place in July for Bourne as the town competes in this year's East Midlands in Bloom competition.
Members of the Bourne in Bloom committee hope to present the town in its best light with the help of the community.

Town clerk Nelly Jacobs is one of the Bourne in Bloom co-ordinators.

She said: "Previous support from the community towards this
project has been great and we hope that we can count on that again. A number of offers have already been received."

The town has the opportunity to put a "best front garden" forward for a separate part of the competition.

Mrs Jacobs said: "We would like residents to nominate gardens in the town that they believe deserve to be considered for entry."

Gardens nominated for this have to be visible from the road.

Mrs Jacobs added: "Anyone wishing to nominate a garden, which does not have to be their own garden, can forward the address of the nominated garden to me and also include their own name, telephone number and e-mail address."

Send nominations to Nelly Jacobs at Bourne Town Council, Town Hall, North Street, Bourne, PE10 9EA, or e-mail clerk.bournetc@btconnect.com
