Players perform The Prince and the Pauper
A CAST of young people will take to the stage at Stamford Corn Exchange today (Fri 9 July) and tomorrow (Sat 10 July) with their version of Mark Twain's The Prince and the Pauper.
Stamford Pantomime Players's annual summer shows give the society's younger members chance to play a large role in a production. The show has been written and directed by professional actor and puppeteer, Phil Norton who is a regular pantomime comic at Spalding and who also works on the UK tour of Rainbow Live, Zippy Superstar DJ.
The story follows the lives of Tom Canty and Prince Edward Tudor who discover that they look exactly alike and decide to switch places.
Instead of learning about each others lives, they find themselves in sticky situations they are not sure how to resolve.
The show is at 7.30pm tonight and tomorrow with a 2.30pm matinee performance tomorrow. Tickets are 8 (6) from 01780 766455.
