Event on birds in stories and folklore on February 21

FIND out how the Robin got his red breast with Chris Andrews at Clare Cottage, Helpston on Tuesday at 7pm.

Chris, of the RSPB at Fineshade Wood will guide his audience through the relationships between birds and humans, as shown in myths and folklore.

Images of birds have decorated the walls of caves and burial chambers, and featured in myths, stories and folklore since the beginning of time.

The sheer abundance, visibility and diversity of birds have meant that they have been a source of fascination ever since people began to paint and draw.

This is the latest in the series of Clare Cottage evening events. Tickets are £5, including a glass of wine and nibbles. Advance booking is essential. Contact Clare Cottage - 01733 253330 to book a place.
