WITH the recent publication of my charity book, Almost A Constable, may I thank your paper and in particular your staff reporter Amy Morrish who gives great support for the Twins of Morton Appeal.
It just proves the real value of having a good local paper and staff who really take an interest in local people and events.

Also may I thank Walkers Bookshop, Waterside Garden Centre and the Lace Lady of Billingborough, all of whom have stocked the book at no cost.

The book has been supported by many people across Lincolnshire and the UK.

It will only be printed as a first edition all profit going to the Twins Appeal and my old school, Gordons, of Surrey, a charity which gives a bursary to special needs students.

A book signing and thank you function is being held in January 2010 at the Toft Hotel and Golf Club and I look forward to meeting some of your readers.

Full details will be given nearer the date.

MICHAEL HEALEY
Pointon Road,
Billingborough
