THIS springtime photograph was taken in Bourne Wood recently at a location on the east side.
This, as we know, is the area to be affected by the proposed A15 north/south bypass.

All of this part of the wood is a tranquil, beautiful place used by many people like myself, who appreciate it for a relaxing, carefree experience, whether for horseriding, running or walking.

The route of the bypass would be a few metres from where this photograph was taken.

Even in the unlikely event that the site would not be physically destroyed, the peaceful ambience would be gone forever and replaced by incessant noise from an ever-increasing number of vehicles using the bypass.

I, like a lot of other people, am quite convinced that Larkfleet Homes has no interest in providing a bypass "for the good of Bourne" because any development of the area would effectively ruin one of Bourne's best leisure amenities.
