Excellent, well-priced food chosen from a comprehensive menu. Really friendly staff providing good service and who are happy to adapt meals to suit. Friday night magician working the tables an inspired idea - a real gentleman providing top entertainment. Love it here.

This Chinese is so good we often drive there from Market Deeping rather than using Riceland or Pangs.  They are flexible on the set meals, and the food is always good with big portions.

Eating in is also good at the Yang Xian with a decent atmosphere and acceptable prices.

Excellent restaurant, very friendly with great service and would not go anywhere else in the area for a Chinese meal or take away – just a shame they don’t deliver but well worth it if you can be bothered to collect. Nothing is to much trouble and even things which aren’t on the menu can be made up if requested – as I have done a couple of times.

New decor and seating that was much needed to compliment their fantastic food and service levels. Nothing is to much trouble for the friendly staff. We have not gone anywhere else in the last 6 years. The Sundy Buffet is good tasting, varied and good value.

Having had a recent change of management, the Yang Xian has been refurbished. Previously the decor was very tired, and faded, however the layout of tables created space for intimate dining, as well as larger parties. Now the dining area is completely open plan, so it's like sitting in an industrial unit. You certainly couldn't have an intimate, quiet meal here anymore. It does attract a youthful clientelle, so can at times be full of large tables of teenagers, who are noisy & not always the best mannered.
The food itself is good value, and extremely tasty. Service can be a bit disjointed at times, especially in busy times.
Take away is always excellent, and it's the best value Cantonese restaurant for miles.
I'd recommend it for a take away meal, but not to dine in.

Yang Xian is a fantastic Cantonese restaurant. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, the staff are always friendly and will do their best to accommodate any special requests, and make a good effort if you book for someones birthday. The house wine (both red and white) are not too expensive and really nice. Inside the restaurant is a koi pond which keeps children entertained while waiting for food to arrive, although I have never been kept waiting for long! Plus it is worth knowing that they do a cheap buffet on a Sunday lunchtime and a lunchtime special on weekdays. Overall this is a brilliant restaurant and one of my favourite in the area and I would recommend it to anyone!
